Some beer brats with onions and fresh garlic. Cooked inside and then finished on the grill for a nice sear. Topped with spicy brown mustard, of course!

Made some fried apples tonight. I’m ashamed that I’m 35 and this is the first time I’ve made them.

Did some Mexican style street corn on the grill. Ended up cutting it off the cob so I don’t have to go shampoo my beard again lol. Homemade chipotle/fresh garlic aioli and some Parmesan cheese were awesome in it.

Don’t ever buy refried beans in a can. They are crap. Make the real deal. Fry the beans in some oil and mash. Add a little water if you want them thinner.

Even the toothless midget ate tonight.

Depression Era cookin with91 year old Clara, ((the video was filmed on 2007) she has passed on since then).

I love this woman. Real, down to earth, laughs at herself, and tells it like it is. I wish I could have been blessed to sit at her table.

One of my favorite things to do is have breakfast on the patio before anyone else gets up.

This morning was a simple one. A few different types of lettuce, avocados, 4 hard boiled eggs, bacon, swiss cheese and some hot sauce.

Breakfast was around noon, but i hadnt gotten around to posting for an hour b/c i was enjoying my coffee and solitude. The wife is sick in bed and my kiddos were still asleep b/c we had a campout in the living room last night with a tent and stayed up til around 3 eating marshmallows lol

And my obnoxious nocturnal teenage-esque mother-in-law is away at the lake for the weekend
