Thank you! We spent 3 weeks looking at options, which was much harder than we had ever imagined it would be because the kitchen cabinets are left as stained wood instead of painted, and we didn't want the floors to be too close or too different. We literally had to search and search until we found something that was just right. I had actually got to the point that I completely gave up and told my wife to just figure it out haha. Then on the way out of the store I saw a giant pallet of something on discount. I decided to take a look at it out of curiosity and we left with everything the store had haha
I try to not clutter this thread up with these pictures, but I don’t really know where else to put them lol. The hood is almost finished, they just have to build the upper piece and finish painting it. The paint and cleanup labor has been free so far lmao I was finally able to actually capture the texture of the granite in a picture. Even when it was outside in natural daylight I could never get it to show up.
Whirly-pool I believe. Another giant headache, as my wife's OCD wants all of the appliances to match. So we have to hunt down the matching dishwasher and fridge to go with it lol
Gotcha. No matching brands for us. All SS and while the D/W and stove are thermador, the fridge and microwave are different brands.
Some SORD SR98 magazine pouches... https://www.sordaustralia.com/aics-10rd-single ....they arrived and fit both the AI and MagPul magazines so I will get a few more.
30cm Cast Iron pan... Didn't go looking for one but the local discount supermarket chain (Aldi) had their camping specials this weekend and I went for a trail cam, they were sold out but saw the pan and it was too good of a price to walk past. Didn't like the plain pine handle so got it home sanded it and stained it a bit darker, once dry (very very warm here today) I gave it a good soak of butcher's block oil and massaged that in and left it all in the sun. Washed the pan in a light soapy water (as buggered if I know what it was coated in) them heated it up on the grill till it smoked a bit and then that went away. Allowed it to cool and washed it again in warm water with a bit of a scrub. Dried it and warmed it enough to melt some REH B-Fat into it and spread it around with some kitchen towel.... ...I am without adult supervision for most of the week ahead so it will get a work out for something or another.
There’s hardwood in the bedrooms. Been dealing with this beast of a machine all day. They glued carpet down at some point, so it’s been quite lovely to deal with lol
Stopped by a gunshow today to look for an optic for my ar, and ended up walking out with an Ithaca 66 super single 12 gauge for a great price
