Having spent some time in the Middle East I have developed an affinity for Turkish coffee. Everyone has a different name for it. During a recent trip to Macedonia in a junk shop I found and purchased an old grinder for that fine grind. I will be using this on my next outdoor excursion. Has anyone else tried it? It is like cowboy coffee but the finer grind improves extraction. I like freshly ground beans. It is easily made.
I've had it here locally.......amazing stuff. local supermarket has pre ground turkish coffee. Its not the same as fresh ground....but its pretty darn good.
Yep I have a grinder that came from Istanbul (via a colleague of mine) and I have a couple of different stove top makers to extract the last milligram of caffeine from the grind. I only ever buy un-ground beans unless I am going bush and trying to keep things lighter.
I have had my fair share of "Turkish coffee" I think anyone who has spent time in the middle east can understand the significance of coffee and tea in their everyday lives. i personally always went for the teas but also liked the coffee.
A guy at work brought some coffee from Indonesia. It is like powder it’s so finely ground. I haven’t tried it yet.
