Anybody horizontal carry the esee 5or 6?I find it more useful than vertical carry. But that's my opinion.
I horizontal/scout carry my 5 and Junglas with Tek Loks for right hand draw with them riding at the small of my back. I find that this style of carry works best for me since I typically wear a backpack or hydration pack and carry a pistol at 9:00 or a rifle on a sling when hiking. The problem some folks have with horizontal/scout carry is if you fall flat on your back you can sustain a spinal injury. Welcome to the forum!
Not my Esee 6 , but I carry my ScrapYard ChopHouse horizontally(scout carry) (and sometimes the Junglas gets swapped in)
I carry my 3 hirizontal, I used a teclok on the bottom row of holes. Benn running it this way for years with no issue. I have a baldric rig I run with it hor. in the winter also.
Is that a ceramic rod? Also, do you have pictures of the baldric rig? I have been intriqued by those.
I EDC an ESEE 3 horizontally with a TekLok It's really easy to toss a shirt over it and keep it out of sight.
I'm with @DYSPHORIC JOY on that one. That being said, I carry the HM6 cross draw style a lot. I guess you could say that's my happy medium for a blade that size.
I've been thinking of revisiting my Maxpedition sabercat and trying my Junglas like that. My only issue with the sabercat is trying to figure my conceal carry. When I bought the sabercat we didn't have cc here in Illinois.
Glad to have found this thread, but nobody's quite addressed the problem I'd like to solve with my 3-ML, which is horizontal cross-draw on an ordinary belt or sometimes just elastic-waist shorts. I tried a large TecLok, but it will attach on only one side, and I have misgivings about that, and, besides, you need a belt. What I'd like to do is just be able to rotate the belt clip that ships with the knife by 90 degrees. Anybody have a nifty solution?
