Patrick, Bruce, and I are attending the Grand Opening of BladeHQ our near Salt Lake....they ran a first class event today and we were super impressed by the people and the company....good people for sure.. I was really surprised to see some of those autographed pics of Patrick Rollins left on the table. I figured those would have be snatched up within the first 30 mins. Good seeing you folks.
Just looked up a little more info on Sato - interesting guy. We have an office in SLC and I get down there occasionally. Knowing there is a new Blade HQ there is dangerous...
They just moved to a different building. The store-front portion is about the same size in the new building. I wonder if they moved for a more favorable lease, or additional storage in the back.
They moved the entire store front, DC, and warehouse into one location with room to grow. Much more efficient layout and design. We got a behind the scenes tour. It is an impressive operation.
I figured it was something like that. Thinking about it more, the new storefront is definitely bigger in the new location, but it looked like they had about the same number of display cases as the old place. In the old place, they had a bunch of storage shelves behind the counters. I bet the storage capacity in the new location is much larger.
Storage is almost x2 the old facility and way more streamlined. Plus you can shop “online” on the computers in the store front and they can pick it out of the back.
