I'm happy with it. It was a bit off a pain to install, removed the bumper cover about 15 times to trim and refit. Gives awesome clearance at the tires though, and still retains the factory look. I cranked my coilovers up another 1.5" to level things out a bit also.
I like the rear bumper, but you took the tent off. Any particular reason, curious because I was looking into rooftop tents.
The tent, on or off, is less than a 10 minute process so I keep it stored until we're ready to use it. That leaves the rack open on top for other things such as canyoneering and caving when we have 8 people in the car and need a place to put all the gear until we get to the trailhead. Such as this trip. We had all of us in the vehicle and Wendy drove us to Lava Point for Heaps Canyon trip and took the pic.
Thanks, That’s good to know, I didnt know they came off and on so easily. Now I just need to find a 4Runner to attach one too.
If you 4Runner guys want more light when in reverse, there is a kit available that converts your rear turn signals into reverse lights, and the red tail lights do double duty as brake and turn indicators. Pretty cool setup, especially since the stock reverse lights are so small.
Just a few shots of my 2010 GX460.....buy a vehicle...take it off road...seems about right! and I let my oldest son drive it!
I would not have been surprised if you had mounted a Land Rover spare tire cover.....of course it was probably 4x the cost of the Toyota and only lasts about 1/2 the time... @Jeff Randall
I actually was planning on that but the LR was a lot higher. Seriously. If I could find a Volkswagen one I’ll probably do that.
