Today’s lightweight pocket carry. Scored a nice little kydex sheath for the CR 2.5.

Knifeworks is good people...SMKW should be shipping any day now I would think.

You might try eseeedge.com (tactical intent)

    or BladeHQ.

On our end I've got no way to monitor the inventory of our dealers once it leaves Rowen.

By the looks of it I'm guessing the CR 2.5 is the same overall length as Izula 1 ?

I think the CR. 2 is just a tad smaller. I do have to say it feels right in the hand!
    Both knifes do

Today, I received my CR2.5 with black G10 handle. As for now the jury is still out on useability for me. I can understand why it would excell as a game cleaning knife. It has an interesting (not yet sure what I mean by that) feel in the hand and I wear XL/XXL gloves. First impression is it might need a longer blade.
One more thing......just messing with you guys about the black G10. Lol :p:D

Ok... From what I can tell.. There are now 3 versions of the CR2.5. The original NON black oxide with Micarta, The Black Oxide with Micarta and the Black oxide with Orange scales

Does this sound right? Or am I missing a option.

For those who have the original with uncoated blade or possibly the original uncoated and then a Black oxide blade have you noticed issues with maintenance and rusting on the uncoated
For those with the Black oxide does it help that much?

I have spotted this one at SMKW for $57.99 (On sale) Original finish with Micarta scales.

Then the Black Oxide with orange Scales for $79.99

And the Original with Black oxide finish for 89.99 at Knife center.

I’d be keen to try the original with micarta for a while, it’s would match my existing selection.

However, and this is a BIG however for me! The orange g10 on this CR2.5 has changed my viewpoint somewhat on my considerations when buying/planning to buy a knife.

I was using my PR4 for something the other day and without thinking I reached down picking up my orange CR2.5, which was only just in my periphery, whilst still working with my 4. I wouldn’t have been able to do this with my Micarta Izzy.

I like the visibility of the handle very much. At the end of the day, this is a tool, making it more visible is a great idea!

I’d be surprised if I had a plain handled bushcraft knife again. Even having some orange handles made up for my PR4 as we speak!

Looking forwards to a long weekend in the wild with the CR2.5 in a few weeks, will have it worked out after that!
