Ok so I know I said I would probably never use the skills I learned at SRT but we were hiking yesterday and came across a rock face. The 3 of us that went to SRT were all trying to figure the best way to rig it so we could repel it.

So now I am in need of a good harness for the misses and myself and recommendations for ropes. @Jeff Randall and @kreeves or anyone else any info would be helpful

@shaneadams90 , @Patrick Rollins, @John feel free to add any info, I forgot to tag everyone.

You can hike up to the top, if I had to guess I would say it is 40 to 50 ft tall.

@Jeff Randall and @kreeves can give you some leads on some Prime Short ropes....from Sterling I believe..

the simplest way would be to tie a tensionless anchor up top and just hit it....

remember the lower the anchor the quicker the edge transition is. how does the top look for anchors?

We didn’t make it to the top this time we had the kids with us, from what we could see there are plenty of trees up top for anchors though.

This made me happy to read! Yes, hike up find some good anchor trees. Rig a good anchor and use edge protection as needed.

It surprised me when I saw it and the first thought that went through my head was I can go down that. We plan to do a recon hike up there, its not far from the house and less than a 1/2 mile hike to it.
