    Are you sanding the coating off? That's a lot of work! Use a stripper, like jasco. 15 minutes, done.

    It's a great workout lol


    Seriously though I ended up moving to just sanding the coating off over stripping them. I always sanded after stripping anyway cause I liked a smooth surface before forcing a patina.

    actually do it but just wanted to check the etch was deep enough

    Bit more progress getting there now bit more sanding then patina
