    Let's get her started again...

Please note: I'm not a Fiddleback salesman, I don't work for Fiddleback Forge nor am affiliated with them in any manner. Hell, most of the guys in the shop probably have to be reminded of my real name. I just enjoy their knives as many others do. I get nothing from this thread other than getting to see other awesome handmade knives and the people out their having fun with the creations of Andy Roy and all the other people working inside the Fiddleback shop.

    Where & How to purchase:

Fiddleback Fridays - Andy and crew put together batches of knives sold each week on Friday in the hosted knife maker subforum on Bladeforums. A locked preview thread is created and posted (usually between 2 - 3 PM EST) to browse and make selections prior to the thread being unlocked (usually at 3 PM EST on the dot) and knives are sold first come/first serve by post order and according to what knife you claimed in that post. Top knives of the week sell within the first seconds of the post being unlocked: you have to be fast.

Similarly, Allen of WA Surls has a Wednesday sale in the same format (typically unlocking the tread at 8 PM EST) in his own knife maker subforum on Bladeforums. Chris Linton holds a similar sale in the Osprey Knife and Tool subforum on Thursday nights at 9 PM EST. These are much smaller batches, 2-5 knives, as each of these makers completes 100% of the work on their handmade knives.

Fiddleback Forge Reserves - there is a sticky on the Fiddleback subforum with available knives, as well as getting in touch with the shop directly or "Vance" on the forums.

    Fiddleback Forge Dealers:
WA Surls, Fletchers and Osprey K/Ts are sold through several of the dealers listed below as well (USAMadeblade, Fiddleback Outpost, DLT Trading)

    BladeCo

After going through over a dozen, I ended up with just one Fiddleback. A very fine example of a Bushfinger. My grail knife, for sure.

I might spontaneously combust if I had a Bishop. My year long search for the perfect Woodsman still continues though...

    J. Oeser Str8hawk in CPM 154 and an A2 FF clip point Stubby Muk with a swedge a friend helped me shark. Both in Shadetree Starry Night.

That was a good call for them to up the packaging and include a sheath on the machetes. Sheaths, or lack thereof, are probably the most pointed out thing to me from people who ask me about Fiddleback knives. A percentage are still turned off even after pointing out the several sheath makers who for a large part specialize in Fiddlebacks.

I like how the folks at Fiddleback Outpost are adding custom leather work to their inventory for the custom knives. It has to help people wanting to make a full one time purchase, knife & sheath, and have it all arrive and ready to go at the same time.

I still want that stubby. Best one yet until they do a black canvas with swedge
