Great news, everyone! We just got a batch of V2 Kit Bags in Gray Ripstop. These are exactly the same design as the regular V2 Kit Bags, but made with ripstop nylon instead of the usual 500d. This gives the bags a very non-tactical look that I think makes them better for EDC.

Edit to add: the Ripstop material comes from the factory with a durable water-repellant polyurethane finish. This is a nice feature that we haven't mentioned in the past.

You can find them here on our site: https://5col.com/products/hill-people-gear-kit-bag-version-2

Our price is $144.99. Shipping is FREE by Priority Mail.

Nice! I was wondering if we'd see the V2 in ripstop. I'm really liking my Runner's Bag in that same fabric.

Yea figures I picked up a foliage one a couple weeks ago. The ripstop does seem real nice though.

I would gladly take it off you in a trade and then you would have a good reason to by the rip stop one :)

I generally feel the same way. The Multicam Kit Bags look great, but camo's not for me. That's why we're bringing out the Ripstop and Waxed Canvas Kit Bags and the Manatee Umlindi.

Updated the original post to mention that these bags come from the factory with a water repellant finish.

My apologies if this is not a good place for feedback. I have a V2 and really love using it.

My one gripe is that the chest pack is a great way to produce sweat where it makes contact with my chest. I would like to modify mine to resemble some of my backpacks where they have a thin sheet of molded foam covered by mesh. This allows airflow to cool the contact area and also allow moisture to escape

Something like these packs but not limited to their approaches
