Sadly people always get bitchy... I’m just glad this forum exists, I can buy ESEE knives, and I found out the orange Izula II IS REAL AND NOT A FAKE. My world is complete now, I just want to say thanks to the whole ESEE team!
If a bunch of members wanted to do patches I would be interested. I separate my kit into pouches would be nice to have them labeled lol my fire kit and first aid kit are labeled, need a repair kit label, cook kit label, etc...
The issue with patches comes down to intellectual property. If Jeff didn't limit patch and sticker creation they could lose a legal battle against someone who steals their logos or designs by showing that they (ESEE) was flippant with enforcing their intellectual property from the beginning. If they keep control of patch, sticker, temporary tattoo, thongs with the logo printed on them, etc then they have a better chance of keeping their property safe in a court case. Jeff could probably (and likely does) authorize folks to make things with their logos but he still keeps control that way. I hope that makes some sense. Basically, gone are the days of bootleg ESEE swag. I know Jeff said a few years ago that group buys would be suspended for a time so Rowan could focus on products coming down the pipe, shop expansion, etc but he didn't say when GBs would be allowed again so the rule, so far as I know, is still active.
I just meant generic patches with just text but volume drops price. Nothing really saying ESEE... I have the rat patch, and the green rectangle ESEE patch. If they make others I’ll buy those also... I wasn’t thinking of branded patches just the group but, sorry...
