Should be picking up the Savage 10 FCP this Sunday. Going off my research, I'm probably going to end up liking the Savage more than the Remington 700.

I think you'll like the Savage very much after you put about 10 rounds through it. lol. They are the best bang for the buck I've found. I might recommend a Bell & Carlson stock for it though. I put one on mine a few years ago and couldn't be happier.

C18CC84A-F020-446B-B08F-4B6905A5A33E.jpeg My last savage. I really wished I kept this one. I traded it and can’t even remember what I traded it for. Clearly a bad trade!
Savage PC carbine. 20”308. With a medium to heavy tapered barrel. Accutrigger and accu stock. Just a good handling rifle.

The action always felt like it had a big hitch in it compared to my Remington’s or tikkas. But it sure could shoot

If I recal the model bcamosnis getting has an HS precision stock. Which if that’s the case it’s a huge step up from the standard Tupperware. Nice thing now is savage has nearly the after market options Remington has so you have plenty of trigger and stock options and unlike Remington you can do barrel changes your self and even companies like Krueger do top end pre fit drop in barrels for savage now

It doesn't =( It's the 10 FCP-K which is just the standard Accustock. It does have the fluted and threaded 24" barrel though. Something I'm starting to notice is that the Savage aftermarket is a lot more budget friendly than Remington's. DBM on the R700 is going to cost me $250-300, where I can do with the Accumag (drop in option for the accustock) for $175. There are no drop in options for the R700 unless I go with the full Magpul chassis.

Something like this is an option for you for a cheap mag conversion on the Remington without having to pay for a gunsmith

    https://www.stockysstocks.com/wyatt...g-30-06-300-win-and-xl-300-rum-338-lapua.html

This however is a really good option for your Remington uses AICS mags and the company will do the inserting. For free

IMG_1402.JPG My Savage 6.5 Creedmoor, the suppressor added, 18.5 lbs as she sits:

The wind video was interesting. I always thought wind at target most important. I might purchase a kestrel soon.

This weekend I'm trading my Aimpoint Comp M4s for a sweet SWFA 1-6 with Warne rings. Pretty stoked about it. I'm betting @ManOfSteel is going to be pretty jelly.

Whoa whoa whoa. This thread is for amateurs and Instagram models only. We don't need any professionals coming in here making us look bad.

I didn’t want to post any pictures of this thing until it’s actually mine. But I might as well, just so we all know which model I’m talking about. Comes with everything in the picture, including the Burris E1 4.5-14 and Warne rings.

I was never a sponsored rifle shooter. It is my weakest discipline!

I will only make you look bad on days I can guess the wind. But if I do, I will not let you forget it!

Fortunately for me I think most of us know you’re too cheap to buy an Aimpoint ;)

My shipments from both Larue and Cabela’s came today. Happy day in the MOS house. The Atlas is flawless and Larue majorly hooked me up with swag included in the box.
