Has a RED light (both Steady and Signal mode), and a GREEN light (Steady Mode). run time with the 700mAh usb battery (as supplied/tested by Fenix) - 1 Lumen - 90 days +/- depending on temp - 30 lumen - 19 hours +/- depending on temp - 80 lumen - 5 hours/40 min +/- depending on temp - 230 lumen - 2 hours/40 min +/- depending on temp - RED steady 5 lumens - 30 hours +/- depending on temp -RED Signal 5 lumens - 30 hours +/- depending on temp - GREEN steady - 48 hours +/- depending on temp run time with a CR123A Li-ion Primary Battery (SureFire) (as tested by Fenix) - 1 lumen - 150 hours +/- depending on temp - 30 lumen - 36 hours +/- depending on temp - 80 lumen - 19 hours +/- depending on temp - 230 lumen - 6 hours +/- depending on temp you can see the SureFire battery is the way to go for SAR/wilderness use. The USB rechargeable would be good for general use say in the city or on an overnighter. SAR types should pay attention to this light............ ( @Reno Lewis , others ) It is MULTI USE, can be clipped to a PFD or Pack strap, can be used for general lighting (flood), Signalling (red ON, red BLINK, green ON). A long length of Paracord can be attached to the light to allow it to be spun overhead to create a massive wide signal beacon. The light is extremely visible in all modes, even more so when spun overhead in a circle. the red / green steady mode would be useful for communicating in noisy enviro's (rivers, wind, distance etc). Red for NO, Green for YES......etc.... shown next to a Tru-Flare pen launcher and Bear Banger Cartridge. It is 3" long x 7/8" wide. set up with 5COLS 1 Ton kevlar cord , for signaling overhead in a circle. nighttime review with pics coming soon!
Bushman Great idea on using the heat shrink tubing on the kevlar cord. I don’t know why I never thought of that.
its heavy wall 2mm thick , heavy duty 4:1 ratio shrink tubing with internal heat activated adhesive. its awesome stuff.
Ok. Thanks for making me jealous. Mine is just the cheap crap from harbor freight. HaHa. Do you have a link to the good stuff you use so I can check it out?
Night shot of the RED steady on , stuck to the cat perch brackets with the magnet. More than enough light to see . Night shot of the GREEN. as above, more than enough light for a large living room.
Just what I need. Another cool light to tempt me. I'm a sucker for small lights. Looks like a good candidate to keep in the car...
