DIY Dakota Fire Hole

    if you live in those areas where you don't want you Dakota Fire Hole to burn underground into the root systems.....or if its just to hard (rock) to dig, here is your answer.

    2 x #10 cans
    2 x small soup or bean cans.

    cut out the ends of the bean cans, and cut a hole the same size into each #10 can. Wrap the bean cans with heavy foil or foil tape to seal it. Done. Burn it out and set it up .

    Cover with sand or dig a trench and then set the cans into the trench and cover.

    Cool idea bushy! But I'm not sure how long that foil tape will last. I've used it on exhaust pipe leaks and the heat destroys the glue. Use a hammer lock for each small can joined to the #10 cans. Then you can just crimp one of the small cans to fit inside the other.

    i was worried about that too , but the amount of sold air rushing thru seems to keep things cold at that point.
