Thank you. I did it the old school way with a round bastard file because I don't have a dremel and then used black RIT dye. Just took my time with it over the course of Thanksgiving break last year to give me something to do.
I think I got my Junglas G10 set on sale for $20 something less than I remember them running, but that’s the only ones I recall ever seeing a sale on.
New to me Laser Strike inbound. Kydex sheath, Added Pouch, TKC Slabs, and Skull to boot. (LNIB) Been wanting to try one of these for a long time. Couldn't pass this one up. Sold off a Lucas Forge Kephart and Afonchenko Hi-Tech Puukko earlier this week. So this purchase was painless.
The Three Little Pigs (Revised Version) I received my Laser Strike a week or so ago. It is truly nice. So nice in fact sitting there with its Skull logo, I was contemplating making it a safe queen. Well that ship sailed last evening. Never been much for queens. I have been working on my new fire station. Yesterday I got a new grill for it. So I took three chops out of the freezer. I used B+B Lump Oak Charcoal https://www.acehardware.com/departm...4BDwg8dKwDQk3SLMFCBoCJcAQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds I long ago gave up on that Kingsford Briquette crap. Barely enough BTUs in that these day to brew up a cup of tea. The charcoal was placed on top of some split birch, On to the three little pigs, One got a Cajun seasoning rub down. One got the Red Eyed Hog treatment. One got just Alpine Seasonings salt & pepper out of Whitefish Montana. On they went, Lots of firsts here. First use of the Laser Strike, First use of the grill, First use of charcoal in the fire pit. I have some modifying to do to the grill, but it worked fine for this, Pulled off the grill and resting, the one at the tip of the knife is the REH Pig, I sliced some up for the table. To be quite honest, some of it never made the table, At this point I was a few beers in and decided to just have a pork sandwich, so I tossed on some rye bread, It has been overly hot and muggy here of late. Much more and I'm renting a room from Betty Ford. Rye toast, Colby cheese, REH Pig, The Laser Strike completes the package nicely, Rinse mode,
That is one of the gnarliest mods I've seen on an ESEE, and I've seen a ton. Did you do it all yourself? Killer blade brother!
@Emac did those mods and gifted it to me back around 2013. It was my first Esee and what caused me to join the old jungletraining forum. I’ve since bought the other Laserstrike with the midnight tiger TKC scales I’ve posted as my main user cause of about die if something happened to the one above. Absolutely my favorite knife.
