I find that my most used knives are small bird and trout knives. I currently use a small smith and sons desperado or a jg3 as my field dressing knife for deer. Recently I saw a knife brand I was not familiar with and saw they had a nice bird and trout knife. I could not find any review of the knife or additional information on the maker. I took a chance and I’m glad I did! The knife is from Feral Knives and is their Koda model. It is USA made, is S35vn and has a 2.5 inch blade. This will replace my CR2.5 knife I gifted to a friend and will become my ford dressing knife. It has a great profile and I can fit four fingers on the handle. Overall I can not find much wrong with this knife especially for the price- less than one Benjamin. It came with a Kydex sheath and had a neck lanyard and a belt attachment. The Kydex edges are not finished like other makers however it still works. The sheath also has a click when the knife is in place. I have included a photos of it below and have compared it to a few other well known models others might have. The reason for this post is for the other bird and trout knife lovers and to bring attention to this maker as I believe they should be more well known. Fantastic bang for the buck.
