Firearms "training" a couple years ago at work. Our last training of the year is more or less a screw off day where the ERT team gets together and grills out and blows through the rest of whatever is left of the ammo budget so they can justify the same or higher budget for the next year. It's always a good day.

@Wisdom This is super old, but are you right handed with your sidearm on the left? Dual wielding pistols? I'm curious...

I was born right handed but due to a severe injury to my right arm had to switch to left. Not an easy thing to do! I shoot a pistol and bow left handed and rifle right handed. It works good in the sense I can put rifle mags on my left pistol mags on my right. I do at least a couple of classes a year and it screws up most instructors.

..... I worked with a guy (well still do distantly) that carried and shot his sidearm on the left but rifle/shotgun from the right.

Took a little hike yesterday since I didn't have any clients to see. Only a mile hike, but 12% grade.

I posted this over in the Scout Rifle thread, but thought it appropriate here as well.

My wife and I hit the range early this AM. It was humid, but still a good time. She shot my "mini scout rifle" AKA the Ruger 10/22 TD and I shot my Ruger GSR. I wasn't totally happy with all of my shots, but all and all a good time.

I may have a buyer for the GSR. He is supposed to let me know by Monday if he wants it.

Ha! Well after today it got me thinking about maybe running a different scope and keeping it. You know how to get ahold of me. If he follows the trend he won't bite.

I dig it. I had a Tara for a long time but it was just too small. With this, I keep it packed with my hiking crap, so all I have to do is add water and cruise.

A definite bonus is the HPG harness. I think because I generally overpack my normal loadout is somewhere around 12 pounds for the daypack, but the load distribution is even enough that you don't really feel it.

I love the Tarahumara. I forget I have it on. I'm looking at the Umlindi or Connor for a little more room.
