I read here that they were tucked up under the giant rock ledge to avoid any rocks from above, so it was right over their heads. They had no time to react whatsoever in that case.

It's a 6mm safety line with two 4mm prussiks. Feeds out of a pouch on my hip. In the video, you can see me using it to go down the slope and do some rigging. I think I was setting the redirect at that point. I copied a similar set-up used by an instructor in a mountain rescue class last year.

And you'd be right!. On his way home from Valhalla he stopped in the middle of the highway to rescue a snapping turtle. He will be at Blade show this year trying to get stuff for free.

Well, you timed a water drop at 7 seconds from the top until it hit the bottom, so I think I will stay in the rock zone from now on and not tucked up under a rock to avoid rocks. That gives me 7 seconds to move if something falls from the top.

Did anyone else notice that Jeff tried to put his unmentionables on my head?

I like how the Video goes from Snake to grill shots. Should have been yummy steak on the grill! I will try to talk our cook into doing steak next time.

Awesome pit, we are slowly building up to Surprise pit (404 ft)! I may be able to talk them into doing Fantastic pit (586 ft), white sides, bridge day and then El Cap.

    More gooder!

After seeing the muddy, sketchy nature of Surprise, I'm good skipping straight to Fantastic. :D
