I recently picked up a kydex sheath for my Izzy from @Allen Morrison . The fit and finish are perfect. I love it. Ive been wanting to carry my Izzy on my neck since getting it but the stock sheath retention isnt as tight as I would want it. After messing around with some accessories and Chicago screws, this is what I came up with.

The firesteel is a cheapy Coghlans but I love them. Its in a kydex firesteel sheath I had laying around. The whistle is chicago screwed onto the sheath so it can swivel out so it is a 90° angle to the sheath. I can then grab the izula handle and give the whistle a blow. I will likely wear this anytime Im outside so the whistle will more likely be used most for non survival tasks like whistling at the kids or to chase away off leash dogs while on walks/hikes.
Here is the whistle swiveled out

If anyone else has Izula sheath setups,id like to see them (neck carry or otherwise).
Thanks again @Allen Morrison for the great sheath.

Now I need a 3/8" firesteel loop for it. I bought some stormproof matches today and they give you 2 extra striking surfaces. One is in my new K&M matchcase, the other got glued to the back of this sheath setup. Carothers Light Chopper and ESEE Izula, unbeatable combo in my book.

Not sure which is worse, Strigidae recognizing such a fashion no-no, or Anrkst accepting the compliment.

Now before anyone says anything, know that I have an Izzy, and two Izzy II's. So 3 knives are sharing these 7 sheaths.

Thats what I'm looking to do for my Izzy @JAD . I want to have 3 or 4 different Kydex sheath setups for mine....a belt carry,a survival neck setup, minimalist neck setup, and maybe a setup to atrach to a pack.

It looks like overkill to the unitiated. But I have a couple of those kydex sheaths on my favorite packs. If I grab that pack I just sheath the knife to the kydex already attached. The nylon backed stock sheath will slip into a pack or lash to the outside. Another of the kydex's can be easily attached to a lanyard for neck carry (which is the most common way I carry this knife in the woods). And the leathers caught my eye at various places and I just decided to buy them one by one for pocket carry.

The leathers are C Johnston Gun Leather (on this forum) and the custom kydex work is Regalia Innovations work (also a member on this forum).

I blame this forum, where else does discussion of fashion and molestation of farm animals come up in the same conversation? I have a leather Izula sheath somewhere, 1/4" thick with a full coverage flap. I gotta see if I can find it...

Sadly I've never actually used this, it's super heavy duty. Maybe I could put it in the "pay it forward thread"...

Edit: just the leather sheath, the Izula is my trusted friend.

Like those pocket sheaths Menace. Are they lined in any way? I'd sure hate to sit down and shove an Iz/razor thru a cheek! :D

Lol! Me too! They're not lined, but in the 3 years I've been carrying those fixed blades in this manner almost daily. I've yet to have one even come remotely close to coming through the leather.
