    Hey, I remeasured yesterday. 14" is really the overall width, although you can stretch the main compartment to fit something 14" wide. It would be a tight fit at best. I think the original concept was that this bag was sized for tablets and small laptops. My MacBook is a little too big for easy carry in the main compartment.
