Once I started using the ignore feature the thread sure didn't elevate my blood pressure the same way. Just in a good way, now. :D

This is something to fight over. This is something to get upset over. The color of your axe doesnt matter. Use your energy to make sure this child has a good Christmas.

My collins farm axe. Did this for exercise and the goats like logs to jump and play on. :)

You have any pictures of it beside another axe? It looks a lot like a Scandinavian forest axe

So true! Lots of folks get bent out of shape about slight imperfections on tools but I would guess most folks don't have the consistency in skill to notice a performance difference

Not just skill, but observational ability/mindfulness. A lot of folks use their tools without reflecting on how that tool is behaving.

These photos are from Hoffmanblacksmithing.com. This is Liam Hoffman's Camp Axe on which I just sent my deposit for my order. 3lb head and a 28" hickory handle should make for a very nice utilitarian axe for me.

This summer I spent a lot of time working on visualizing my swings and hits and it's amazing how such a simple skill can improve your speed and ability

I just sent the payment a few hours ago and I'm realizing I should just forget about it like I did with my GSO 12. 9-12 months sucks :(

I purposely won't buy things that take more than a couple months to get. I almost immediately loose interest when I have to wait lol

Making progress. It's my first time wedging a slip-fit eye, but things seem to have gone well. Used a "‡" kerf and it was able to take up the fairly significant amount of space at the top of the eye.

Tested the wedge job and it seems to be holding tight.
