Don't you hate it when a thread gets closed and you all of a sudden realize you used the wrong verb tense within the thread? And damn-sam it's blocked so you cannot edit. Now for all eternity it shall forever appear that you cannot conjugate a word properly. Guilty as charged.
Another thread I just found out I have "insufficient privileges" in order to continue post. I'm starting to develop a persecution complex. How do you get to be "Administrator"?
Not quite as bad, but nearly, is when you're busy typing up a great big response to something and then when you hit the "Post Reply" button you discover the thread got locked while you were writing your small novel and now you can't get that wasted time back.
I've had that happen quite a few times! The most shocking was when I was typing up a post to our hipster hate thread under the "Politics, Religion, Whining and Democrats" hit post and that whole freaking section was deleted. Had to go in the backyard and take my frustrations out on the fatwood stump I've slowly been processing.
I don't seem to have posted in any of the recently locked threads so I can't test this, but maybe one of you can check it out. I was able to "Like" a post after the thread had been locked, so it makes me wonder if you could still edit one of your posts that is in the locked thread. I know you can't post a new reply, but can you edit an existing post?
