Another person who calls out b.s. when they see it and has less than ideal spelling and grammar? And here I was thinking I was special.

No, he generally starts arguments and is very negative for no reason. You were trying to prove your point so I don't think you're negative or starting arguments. His spelling and grammar are usually on point so I knew you weren't him lol.

Just because you think something is BS doesn't mean that you're right...and you proffered an unrequested critique of an axe that I enjoy and use often without any of the supposed difficulties you think (without any first-hand experience) that it has. You suggested I work on my technique...and I suggest you work on your manners, sir. They are quite sorely lacking. Let's stick to posting pictures about axes here...

I've got a few miscellaneous axe and hatchet heads I need to get handles for, and a nice old Mann Jersey that I need to pick up from a buddy of mine when I get the chance. More pictures of the arsenal when there's light out again tomorrow. Hoping to get my hands on some good wood for handles soon, as I've got a lot of projects I could use it for. :)

I actually just stated a well known and documented fact about speed wobble. You seem to dissagree with the collective knowledge. Good luck, happy trails.

Bridgeport crating hatchet, and some other little hatchet. Not sure what it is, tbh. Looks like a small version of a carpenter hatchet:

People parrot things all the time that are passed off as fact but are anything but...I can guarantee you that 99% of people whinging about poll-less axes haven't ever even laid hands on one, let alone used one. While it's certainly preferable to outfit such heads with offset handles, it certainly doesn't render them unusable if they're outfitted with off-axis ones. If you'd actually try one like I've repeatedly offered you might find out for yourself. :)

Vaughn Sub Zero. A mod I did some time ago. Had on my sling bag for a hike or 2, but never used it, so I took it off.

Next to a BK2. Very small hatchet:

Here's a Condor Michigan I customized the summer before last. It had a very low-density handle on it originally (odd for Condor--the quality of their hickory is usually top notch) so I slapped it on a new handle, polished the head, and improved the grind on it. It went to a scythe friend of mine.

If it wasn't for the nail pulling groove I'd swear it looks like the oyster hatchets they use here for breaking apart clusters of oysters. They usually have a pretty blunt edge and a small hammer poll. I'll have to dig out the one I put an edge on to carry during muzzleloader season, made a good deer finishing tool and sweet kindling splitter.

I work for a candy company. That little hatchet was used to open cans of nuts with. That's where I got it from. Both of them actually.

    FortyTwoBlades, that looks nice. Shiny.

I've seen those little hatchets advertised (in vintage documents) as grocer's hatchets.

Lol, no thanks. Ill stick to the superior tool for the job. Should you provide evidence that the old bronze age style you are using is on par or even nearly as good as the american felling axe at bucking or felling then you will have a point. Untill then you are the fish swimmng upstream saying how much easier things are. Good luck. Have a great day.
