I was less than clear, but I was not necessarily impugning Jeff or any of the moderators, mainly commenting on the idea of having that kind of option available as part of the forum software. Someone somewhere thought that it was a good idea to be able to "discourage" forum posters by messing with them behind the scenes and they put their money where their ideas were by paying a programmer to build multiple "discouragement" techniques into the software. This does not seem to be something that could be added later on. It seems like something that really would need to be part of the design before any coding began.

I agree that Jeff and Mike are not passive aggressive and would not use that kind of thing.

I like being a part of this forum.

I agree that @Jeff Randall is a stand up guy.
I'm here in large part because I respect him and ESEE,
including my Izula, and the 3 and RB3 I intend to buy once cash returns ..
but also because I know that -- as long as I don't post too many videos --

.. I can be my crazy ass, responsible, psycho self,
as long as I eat bbq and .. _________ ______

No problem. :) I didn't think you did, I was just quoting you for a jump off point.

I was offended that the forum host would have such a thing imbedded in their system. Passive aggressive to the hilt. Weasels. Lowlifes.

I am guessing that the designers of the forum software have been wearing safety pins, in the fetal position, and sucking their thumbs while hidden in their company provided "safe space" for the past week or so. ;)

Let me be very clear, if there an issue with any member here, their behaviour or with any of the very few rules or requirements of this forum that person will just get banned. No slow downs no playing around. As I indicated earlier no action by any member of the small moderator group here is the cause of any issue people are having with board speed. I am a very very long way from being a tech type.

From my understanding, having seen it happen on another forum I was a member of, the ability to slow a members access to the site to the point of infuriating that person is not unique to this forum.

Has anybody actually checked the discouraged and diciplined users group list?

Following that being unfruitfull, would you be willing to grant Chorpie temp adminship to investigate settings.
There is clearly an issue thats been isolated to the server side software and I have a lot faith in his ability to find it.

The old forums clique ruling the new one may be of concern to some!

I'm not sure what is going on. Last night both my personal phone and my work phone could not get on the forum using either handle. I was prompted that the IP addresses had been banned. Am I banned? If not, there's some kind of shenanigans going on.

Trust me, you'll know it when you're banned.

That's what I was hoping. So there is a technical issue at hand.

So this is what is going on with my situation at the moment.

Neither of my devices are currently IP banned, unlike last night. That was also the first time that had happened.

Sheepdog Login does not work on either phone. VERY slow with multiple Redirect Loop notifications. Stalls out. Sends me back to the home page.

Sheepdoggitydog Login works perfectly on my work phone, slick as snot, but does not work on my personal phone. Same issues as stated above.

I only created the second user name to help troubleshoot this issue. I'd like to go back to Sheepdog and be able to use my personal phone. My employer would probably appreciate that too.

I stated before, that we don't REALLY know what's happening here. If the Discouraged IP list is blank, someone that has access to the admin control panel could look at Tools > Error Logs and see if there are any errors being logged for the specific users having issues.

It could also be on the hosting end (server), issues with DNS, etc. The main thing pointing to the forums is that using a single browser on a single computer, my login runs without issue and Lobster's is super slow. This could also be a forum bug, which might need Xenforo support to be called, but I think we all know Jeff and Mike don't have time for that.

Seems to work fine for me on three different Macs (two different versions of OS X) and an iPad.
