    Banks are failing,
    Stocks are crashing,
The Ruskies are knocking down our Drones,
The Chicoms, I'm sure the Chicoms are doing something bad!

So what's a guy to do?
    Order an ESEE-4 in S35V, that's what.

As I type my ESEE-4 sits clipped to my hip.
I have a can of Aircraft Stripper (I always thought that was something entirely different)

I was going to and may still take the coating off my Daily Carry 4.

But the worlds events have conspired to cause me to convert my useless dollars into something more tangible.

I also ordered a set of Woodland Camo Micarta short scales to accompany the knife compliments of TKC.

The financial world may be falling apart, but the ESEE-4 Rocks on.

I just can't take it anymore, I almost didn't come back from lunch yesterday. It helps knowing the end is coming. I could go now, I don't have any debt. I just want a bigger emergency fund for peace of mind.

It has been a while since I've had an ESEE 4.

It may be time to remedy that. May be......

I'm broke, I got 5 trucks that need mega repairs $$$$$$$$, I hate living where I do. I want a rural or grid lifestyle. <<< that's coming, but I gotta wait for a while

    BUT.....

The apt is long paid off. All my trucks were paid off years and years ago. I'm employed, respected at my job, get offers from other trucking companies daily, love my band of misfits that I work with, the two House Panthers are well cared for, their raw meat food diet / meat kibbles, meat tinned food and litter are taken care of before I even think of my needs, I got a bloody awesome close friends group , including some I've never met in person . I'm in insanely great health for 51. I eat global foods but cook locally, and if I need help with anything, my family is always there.

oh and the 4 is pretty good. Still not as as awesome as the 6 :)

Sounds like in the big picture, you are sitting pretty.

I'm not much of a Cheryl Crow fan,
    But her song lyric,
"it's not having what you want, it's wanting what you have" makes a lot of sense.

I think this guy has some solid insight into where we are financially as a nation.

He presents it in a calm, rational way, and offers some advice for being ready for whatever may come down the path.

I say, if you have a plan, stick to it.

Play your game, don't let these folks convince you to play their's

I have relied on two saying for many years.

#1. "All you can do, is all you can do"
Meaning if you are trying your best and giving it your all.
That is the best you can do.

#2. "Don't let the losers win"
That came from a retired UDT diver.
Meaning don't give up. Don't let your self get talked out of victory.

We may be facing tough times ahead. But we aren't the first.

    1776 was a tough year for many.the 1860s weren't exactly easy.

Landing on Iwo or Omaha beach would make todays issues seem like a walk in the park.

I pays to be prepared, but it also pays to keep things in perspective.
The news would have us believe we are in end times, and we may be.

But let's adapt a wait and see approach.

The ESEE-4 is my work knife. I wear it almost every day.
As you know from the Bushy site, I have more than a few knives.

I have come to view the ESEE-4 as the Goldilocks Knife.
It's not too big, it's not too small.
    It's just right.

Same goes for price and availability.
It's not cheap, but it's not too expensive either.

It can do most tasks with easy and others well enough.
It doesn't send the sheep into total panic, but it scares them a little.

If the bottom dropped out tomorrow, and all I had was the 4, I'd be comfortable that my knife would see me through what ever is around the bend.

If you read here, you will see, I was not a huge fan of the ESEE-4 from the beginning.
In fact it was quite the opposite. I really didn't care for it much.

I like my 3Mil, and my 6. (Still do)
I just couldn't make friends with the 4.

But over time it has climbed up through the ranks.
Because it rides well on my belt, zI don't have to baby it, and I really don't care if zI scratch it.
For me it has become a daily use tool like a hammer.

The S35 version will be my fourth 4.
I gave my used 4HM to a friend in Cali, but I have two left.
I do like the 3d Micarta over the G10.

    But that's a personal choice.
If I remember correctly, you're not much of a G10 fan either.

I just gotten to the point that I would rather have my time than their devalued money. The more that you work to try to get ahead, the more they tax you to keep you down. I just don't see it being worth it to stick around another 20 years. One of my coworkers found out that if he retires, his retirement isn't going to completely pay his insurance costs. It's going to take his retirement plus about $50 a month out of pocket to keep his insurance.

I'm such a fan of the Laser Strike that I have never been interested in a 4.

The s35v E4 is a great knife! I absolutely love mine. Keeps an edge for months even doing things out of the realm of normal with it. Im a huge fan.

    It showed yesterday,

    I'm both impressed and pleased.

Part of the problem with my EDC 4 is I use it for everything, that usually includes preparing at least two meals a day.
No coating and S35 will take the urgency out of cleaning, drying, and Frog Lubing it.
Plus that shiny uncoated blade should slide through food a little better as well.

I'm about to make my self a liverwurst sandwich with it for lunch,
so we'll see how it slices liverwurst and cheddar cheese.

    I believe I see a 3 on S35Vn in my future.

I also have another thread started about the 3HM and the 4HM in S35.
It pays to be bold in one's requests.
