    Ran into this little guy today: The eastern massasauga rattlesnake (Sistrurus catenatus catenatus) is a unique and fascinating part of Michigan's natural heritage. It is Michigan's only venomous snake, and one of only two rattlesnake species that occur in the Great Lakes region.

    Strig and I know a guy that was asleep on his floor in his house and a copperhead slithered in and bit him on the finger.

    @Josh
    I am not 100 % on snake Identification but I would say yes. I had never seen a copperhead in person but it matched all the guides I have.

    I keep hearing from all the neighbors how bad the snakes are this year so I don’t think this will be the last…

    Just don't fall asleep on the floor in your house and you'll be fine.
