Excellent!!! And I'm sure he's going to love it!! Wish my brothers would do the same as you hahaha. Well done man!!!
Maintenance Monday. Junglas to be added tomorrow. Picked it up on the cheap. Working on the sheath system for my regular 6 also. Hopefully it turns out OK.
I got an ESEE Blue Ridge Knives Churp. Nice little knife, opens and closes easily, comes pretty sharp. About the size of a Swiss Army Knife Next to my Hiker
This is the family portrait, all 6 1/2 of them. The 4 and the Izula are both 440c. I made sure that the D'Eskabar had the Esee logo facing out so it wouldn't feel left out. Hopefully the family continues to grow!
The blade is D2 with brown micarta scales. $20 at knifeworks. The also have OD green and carbon fiber for $27. https://knifeworks.com/search.php?search_query=churp§ion=product
Glad I'm not the only one who got bitten by the Esee bug hahaha Good collection and keep em growing too
I've got both. I've used both on many occasions as my primary camp knife. The RB3 really excels with carving tasks. My 6HM pairs great with a folding saw if I want to cut weight in my pack and ditch the axe. Both of these have excellent handles for extended use. Tough call really. All of the ESEE 6 variants have thickly coated blades (besides the 6HM GB) and I enjoy a 90° spine for fire prep and debarking limbs. So I'd personally strip and square a 6 if I bought one. That's just me though. Enough of giving you my 2¢. Here's a few pics:
Completely agree. I stripped my 6 and sharpened the spine on it too. I do wanna grab the hm 6 model. Hopefully one day. Awesome pics too!!
I spent a couple hours clearing debris from a recent storm. This puppy lives up to the hype. Can't wait to get another fire started with this beaut tonight.
I decided to keep mine after all, with the stock scales. I won't get what it's worth and I put a lot into it. Being offered $150 shipped was a slap in the face too lol. Good luck finding one that cheap.
