L - R. 6 - synthetic wine corks,pre drilled with 1/4" hole. 8 pre made lines. With ss split rings on 1 end and locking swivels on the other, about 5 ft long, made of braided nylon 15 lb test fishing line. (Spider Wire brand) 25 yards of extra line, extra swivels with split rings ( idk how many, 20 ? ) 2 little boxes of hooks, trebles and single shank, in various sizes. A few small lead split shot in with the trebles. A plastic stringer. Under the pre made lines is this small inscrutable hard to photograph bag containing some various dry flys. (These are good for small crappie, sand bass, or sun perch.) All you need now is a green whippy stick and some patience.
......... Hogs......!! You have not lived till you have followed up a cranky hog into a Blackberry stand. Only think like it was crawling through Hippo tunnels not knowing what was coming the other way !
Did you take pics ? I know they would be tintypes but still useful in that oldy school kind of way !! With your gear I am assuming that you have staged kits.....a basic like that attached to the sheath and working up to more speciaised gear ?
I couldn’t afford to take pictures back then. My primary focus on most sheaths is fire progressing to blow out kits, water purification then to shelter when I get to bags.
I’ve trailed shot hogs through blackberry briar patch tunnels here and it gets damned unnerving when you start hearing them jaw popping at you while you’re on your hands and knees following a blood trail.
