Ammunition is expensive right now. But you know what, it’s still cheaper than dummy rounds.

    how can that be?

9mm dummy rounds are upwards of $2 each. No powder, no primer, no steel/copper/lead. Just a casing and a plastic bullet.

if I could find the plastic bullets, I’d make my own.

I used to just omit the powder and primers. I saw some Colt recently.

Winchester at one time made drill rounds (I saw them in 12ga, 5.56 and .38 in the day) and sold them in bulk. They however looked too much like the real thing and when one live round got mixed in the training box it really spiced things up, now they are all orange plastic. I have some 9mm snap caps that I have had for years but that is about it.

You must not have a lot of dummies attacking you like Expat does.

Dummies tend to annoy me.... so far I have not needed to shoot any.....a good pistol whipping seems to do the trick !!!!

    I’ve done this before.

but with the cost of the bullets, that’s expensive too. I’ve never had the sharpie stay on. And if they aren’t fluorescent, they are hard to find on the range.

these plastic pieces can’t cost more than $.01 each. I’d like to buy about 2,000 of them and then I’m set for a year or two cause I could just make my own.

If you can’t get the sharpie to stay on, use better glue!

to get better glue, you need better horses. And they are expensive too!
