Here's a loose interpretation of a Gordon Ramsey recipe. Ramsey is a really good cook who is easy to learn from..you just gotta get past the "TV land" persona.
I give you Orange Ginger Chicken stir fry.
This is an easy fast one, less than an hour including prep time.

He has quite a few short vids that are almost like “homemade stuff from the house”. I like those, simple ingredients, short cook times, and almost always 2 plates, 2 servings, 2 bowls, ect.
It seems like I’m always cooking for an army but soon ( way sooner than one thinks it will be ;). ) it’ll just be me n her....empty nest. I’m practicing. :D

It looks like a good kitchen knife! o_O I have considered the Libratariat as a butchers knife around here. Maybe good at mashing potatoes, dunno how it'd do peeling them.

I have done a bunch of both cooking cutting, and bushcraft type things like try sticks and figure 4’s with a Condor 18. The Lib is the same steel, maybe even made by them (it’s Condor or Imasca, I can’t remember...). I bet it would do fine.
I actually wanted one for my chuck wagon box but I have untold numbers of bigger cutters, it would want from lack of use.

I have a 6 and just traded into a RAT-7 so I'm hesitant to buy another big blade right now.

I would be very tempted to go to a Junglas II if I did and sell the 6 and 7.

So anyways, where's the obligatory food pron shot? :D

“Somebody” just came and got the last bowl of mashed potatoes n gravy...guess I won’t be having those tomorrow!
I was just up in Virginia Beach not long ago, mostly stuck to the coast, drank craft beer and ate seafood, so I don’t know what the interior state looks like. I had a Junglas but it was too short for our thick undergrowth. Not enough reach. I have some cutters in the 13-14 range but even those are right at the low end of useful. Mostly I use 18”s cause I like the balance but a 22 would be better if you could get a decent sheath for it.

if I had better uploading and editing platforms (and maybe better skill at doing it) the step by step would be easy. Nothing I’ve done was really complicated. Some are more time consuming but what else were you gonna do right?
