Wild animal to a raging beast Still need to aquire few more parts, but got it up on the stands for disassembly.
Installed the new spark plugs ,finished up the exhaust today, and cleaned the front fender (obviously the forks had a slow leak for awhile).
Sandpaper, picks, and some elbow grease got the lower forks sliders cleaned up. Rest of the fork rebuild kit came in the mail. Then UPS showed up with the new air filter
Needed to polish out some scratches on the fork tubes so while I had the bench grinder setup I also polished up the speedo cowl bracket. Also installed the new bushings, seals, and progressive springs today. Just need to set the oil level and reinstall them.
Finally got the lower triple tree bearing off, took a bit of persuasion with a torch and "Bigger Hammer"
everyone talks about the pure sports car...i've been thinking...a bike has no cup holders, radio, airbags, seat belt or a metal cage to protect you either...it's the purest form of motorsports
Got the oil back in the forks and the front end back together today, just need to torque everything to specs and fluid changes.
LOL, I'm in the process of training a guard dog to protect mine Laying down on the job at the moment After a long day of training
Got the C70 fired up for the first time tonight! I was hoping for even a small sputter. As soon as I supplied gas( funnel feed because I’m working on the tank), 1 kick from the kick starter and it was up and roaring! Key word ROARING. I did not expect it to keep running for more then a few seconds. It took of roaring at full speed.. Throttle and choke cables didn’t effect it.. So I had to start pulling wires to get it to shut off... Now to wait about a week until the new carb gets here.. And def installing a new safety cut off switch
