If we had that here then all these little blonde headed rich girls would quit buying Range Rovers to drive around the city. Besides, we have Jeeps in this country!
Yep. $70K plus is Range Rover. Sub $70K is JL/JT Rubicon and white TRD Pro 4runners. I just want a damn Jimny before Suzuki kills it.
There's a 2 door for sale down the road from me. Yes, you're seeing that correctly, it's listed a Tercel...
There is a lot interesting in that picture. Given the SWB versions never got the upgrades the later (post 2007) models did it would appear someone has perhaps shopped in Canada (or another overseas location) for some body parts and bolted them to an older model. If the VIN is correct it is petrol not diesel as well.
Interesting. I’m surprised it’s been on the lot as long as it has. Of course it being mislabeled has killed any Google searches for folks looking for LCs. You know, I would drive that. Especially if it was the late 80s Samurai. Haha. That would be a valid explanation.
I had a 78 FJ40 that I bought in 88, while living in Blythe, CA. It looked like it had been kept in a cotton box. It was very heavy duty but maybe the lighter weight Jeep’s were better in heavy sand. I bought a Rubicon around 2007 that was amazing due to the locking differentials. Having all wheels pulling, clearance and driver experiencemakes more difference than brand.
Jokes (and reliability issues) aside, there are few vehicles that can be as simple and fun as a Jeep with no top or doors. Solid axles, good size for off road use or city parking, decent engine options and an unlimited aftermarket. Not many competitors with all of those things. Plus, CJs, YJs and TJs are generally cheaper and way more abundant than FJ40s or 1st Gen Broncos, and easier to find and better to drive than Samurais.
