Not wanting to derail the thread so if you don’t mind when you have time could you PM me on how you prepare from cleaning a deer onward or possibly post a thread on it in the hunting section? Over the last few years I’ve started trying to use more of the organs that get pitched into the gut pile like heart, kidney and liver. Always looking to make the most of something if I’m gonna take its life.

Heart, liver and tongue always get taken home. Kidneys, not so much.

Not really, just haven't had them prepared in a way I enjoyed enough to keep them. I'd change my mind if someone had a recipe I liked.

Ah ok, I haven’t tried them yet just open to do so. Heart and liver is all I’ve done so far and I love both.

@Frigin I ordered mine from this guy. His name is Eric and he also has a shop on eBay as well as on Etsy. His customer service and communication are awesome. He made me two of these sheaths, both with a ⅜" ferro rod loop for a CR 2.5. Both sheaths were identical. He buffs the edges of his kydex down to give it a smooth and clean look. Just a little fit and finish thing that I'm funny about and he knocked it out of the park. It carries well on a neck lanyard or a" pull the dot" loop on my belt. Price was about $25 or $30 for the sheath with ferro rod loop, either can be bought separately. Of course the Armatus sheaths are outstanding as well. The brown ones sold only through ESEE are killer. I've got one for my PR4. I'd imagine his CR 2.5 sheath to be top notch as well. Both of the above shops have made me sheaths with great ergos and retention.

Here's one more I dug out from way back. I've never posted it here or anywhere else. I was getting a tinder bundle ready. It occurred to me that this little feather stick and tinder scraper would probably make a pretty decent bird and trout knife. ;) IMG_20181110_164636459-02.jpeg

Yes the true hide whiskey pattern is only available through ESEE. Armatus sells sheaths from other makers on their site with that pattern, but none are for ESEE knives. The words in my post that have green lettering are actually links. If you touch them on a phone or click them with a mouse on a computer it will take you to the site. So the green words "only through ESEE" will take you to ESEE's store with the page for their Armatus sheaths. Jodi at ESEE's store is amazing, I've ordered from them multiple times. Many times it ships the same day. They accept PayPal and will email you a tracking number. @mtngoat also put a link in his post. Take care partner.

Just got the armantus sheaths in from esee I love the kydex. Quality is great and It combines the two types of holsters/sheath that I love. Kydex and leather.
The only negative thing I’d have to say about it is it doesn’t “click” it like the rest of the esee knives do in there stock sheaths. But I have 0 worries of it falling out. Excellent retention. In fact when I first pushed the knife in I couldn’t get it out.......after a few times back and forth it fits perfectly and still has great retention and I can now get it out. The pocket slip should be here Tuesday can’t wait to try that out.

Traded into mine recently and really liking the size for an EDC blade. I've still been doubling down with a Zancudo in my pocket but I could see having just the CR2.5 on my belt with no complaints.
