I’m curios If anyone has a recommendation for a decent priced, quick attach light for a Glock 17? Like the idea of having a pistol mounted light when needed BUT not one that stays on all the time.

I also like my 43 I do not carry it all the time but it’s a good go to in the summer when I don’t have much for clothes on. I’m usually carrying my g45 and sometimes my g19

Trailmaster I like the gen 5 trigger is a tad better. I love front slide serrations. And finger groves are takes off also.
Rocketmandane I have the in force apl for the 17 and the I force aplc for the 19 and 45 I can’t say enough about the light I use it all the time and it’s never failed. Going on probably a year now....I think.

+1 for the Olight Valkyrie on the pistol. My old unit tested a few lights and although they went with the x300u i preferred the switch on the Valkyrie.

I've been in the Glock camp for a long time....While not a fan boy it's what works for me. I have shot them in classes and in competition and they have always served me very well.

I carried a g27 for a number of years and made the switch to a g19 AIWB about 6 years ago...it's always served me well.

This setup in a Hailey Strategic Incog (G-code) has been my go to for a long time...

With my eye sight degrading I've been working to make the switch to an RMR...I have about 1500 rounds downrange at this point and I see some definite benefits to it... I have a Inforce light mounted as well and I like the setup and shoot it decent....I don't EDC it just yet. The RMR is a touch slower on first shot but I am accurate with it...I need to add suppressor height sites and I think that will help me get lined up a little quicker for first shot...

I’m with you on the glock. Well I don’t consider myself a fanboy I love many types of firearms. Glock has worked for me for about 4-5 years now. I edc 24/7 now I switch between a g45 and g19 I love my inforce lights and I have been using and carry a rmr now. I take make myself take at least 4 classes a year. I have two little ones so finding time for classes is difficult. I shoot in matches one day a week all summer where I enter two guns one is usually my carry gun a glock and the other I use my shadow 2 because it’s 100 times faster.
I use two types of holsters black rhino concealment and insane Ludendorff creations. I have so many holsters it’s not funny. The good that about it is anyone I know before they buy one I give them a bag of different styles so they don’t have to make the mistakes I have.

Looks like 5th gen and others aren't compatible except for the mags.

Slide, recoil rod/spring also some of the internals are different, not sure if those interchange but they don't look like they would. The frame also has a larger cut out for the gen 5 recoil guide assembly as well as the barrel. The Gen 5 barrels interchange though I think. I'm no expert on Glocks though.

Can’t wait to pick one up! What grain were you running. About the only complaint I have seen is it just can’t be anything under like 40 grain I think it was.

I have no clue what it was. I just kept shooting it as they gave me mags.

I carried a Gen 2 Glock 22 (40sw) for 12 years as a duty gun. For whatever reason when I started working with a CCW I never continued on with Glock and decided to go with the M and P Shield route. I no longer work in that industry anymore but still carry and my interest has piqued back to Glock again. I was thinking of going with a 23 or 19. After carrying a M and P Shield for 3 years I am kind of over the sub compact style of guns because practicing with them is a pain in the arse. Do a lot of folks conceal carry the medium sized framed "Compact" versions?

I think the 19/23 size is one of the more popular options for ccw, especially with the rising popularity in the "sidecar" style appendix rigs.

The 19/23 is the absolute pick of the bunch in my less than humble opinion !!!
