Hope this post is fine with the moderators but I was just wondering where everyone else goes to when you are looking to buy used knives besides the ESEE forum? Have a particular knife I am looking to pick up used to save a little cash. I know bladeforums and bushcraftusa are popular but is there anywhere else people frequent?

    Thanks!

Bladeforums is a great place as well as bushcraftUSA. There is always eBay, but lots of shady sellers do their business there.

you could also try Arizona custom knives

lots of buyers, people do on occasion get scammed so buyer/seller beware. They also openly sell chinese knock offs but at least they indicate they are clones.

AR15 dot com has a blade category, a lot of knives move through there.

For that particular one eBay is probably the best bet. Knife swap is almost all folders and BF had a few that come up but they are almost all 3V, if you are set on stainless the last one is s35vn was April 2019 so it could be quite a wait.

Some good suggestions have already been mentioned than there are the exchanges on facebook but as always use with caution. If you would ever consider a Bravo 1 in stainless I have a new/unused still in the box CPM 154 model.

May have to check out some of those Facebook groups. Have heard other people talk about them but never tried them. Thanks for the offer on the Bravo 1 but I'll have to pass. I am really looking for something with a 5" blade.

May just be slightly under your size criteria but something to maybe consider is the White River Ursus (4.5" blade vs. 5", S35V steel). Picked up mine from 5col (one of the active vendors here and was a superb experience). Or another great option is the LT Wright Forest Trail that has a 5" blade and comes in a variation of steel or handle configurations, I picked up an A2 version recently and really enjoying it, one of the finest/comfortable handles I've ever used. I'd like to find one in 3v next.

I've worked out a few dealing over there as well, a lot of tactical models and such but can find some great deals from time to time. Actually picked up a Swamp Rat Howler and long story short, found out the guy lived about 25 miles from me and we just met up near our work (both of us on Ft. Riley) and exchanged cash/knife on the spot.

It's always a good idea to use PayPal and their goods and services, that way you're protected. It'll cost you an extra 3 percent but definitely worth it. I've done a lot of business on Facebook within the groups and there are quite a few legitimate guys.
