Well....so far our new artisan member has ignored a moderator's very polite suggestion.

And my question is: if the libertariat is basically a rectangle, why does your custom sheath have a rounded bottom? Square peg, round hole, and all that?
And why the deep cut out in front? High speed draw?

And the libertariat is a limited edition?

To my knowledge it is not a limited edition. Expat can answer it further or correct me if he chooses.

I didn't think it was, although I believe expat personally built mine.

What i should have said was yes they are limited and you should buy a crate of them now before they run out. That statement likely would be Expat approved. Maybe. Pretty sure. Kind of.

Guys, I fell in love with this knife like the rest of you and searched high and low for a leather sheath that would fit. With no luck, I made my own. I decided to share with others. The time and materials it takes to make one of these by hand justifies the price. It is a simple, yet rugged, design that highlights the use of thick 9oz. leather and waxed thread saddle stitching. The cutout allows a smoother draw, and the fit and contour to the Libertariat blade is excellent and tight.

Eh, I'd say it's only limited edition if they don't make a second run of it. 500 units is the minimum order quantity with Imacasa these days, and 550 is within the range of variance for overruns.

If anyone here has ever desired a leather sheath for the Libertariat, what characteristics would you want to see?
