Spent most of the day with the ol’ devil sander again. Picked up lights for the garage.

Finally got sick of battling with my old laptop.....Mrs Andy bought a new one for her uni studies while I was away bush, too a look at it and thought it meets all my needs so when up and bought an identical one today, same shop but I got a better deal....I didn't tell her though. She can get a good bit of hers back as a tax deduction (uni study is work related) and I will get @50% of my cost back as I can salary package one laptop a year.

Ordered a waxed canvas HPG Tarahumara from @5col to go with the waxed kit bag I bought last fall. That should hold what I need for day hiking around here. I really like the look and feel of waxed canvas.

I also ordered a 10x 42mm SS scope from SWFA to put on an AR shaped rifle. I intend on ringing some steel this summer.

Bought the pendant in Cali at a powwow I went to. 100 percent Navajo made sterling silver with real turquoise and garnet. The chain is just a cheap stainless steel from Amazon until I can make a bone bead one for it. 20190422_131433.jpg

I'm shopping for a new one for school as well. I've been using one of my daughters old ones and it's a losing battle. I'm going to blow it up when I replace it.

....yep if it had not have had some files on it I needed it would have been shot last week. The winning goal was that Mrs Andy borrowed it while travelling with work a couple of weeks ago to do her uni stuff on and I had warned her it was "frustrating" I got the call while she was away (first night) "this thing is f'ed" ....well yep...that's what I have been saying. That said between us we spent $5K on laptops in the past two weeks now....:eek:

That's one of my next purchases. Along with a gas tiller for my garden.

My brother and I just ordered our dad a Dan Henry 1970 watch for his 80th birthday, coming up in a few weeks.
Several years ago, he gave me his 1962 Longines diver and I've been wanting to get him something to replace it for a while.
Pretty sure I still owe him the difference, the good news is that I'll probably see the Dan Henry come back to me as well!

Picked up a Magpul 10rd mag for the bolt gun. Also decided to try out the Lucas gun oil and grease. After the issues I had with Froglube a few years ago, I've been hesitant to try gucci lubes, but Lucas seems to be getting high praises.

I use the Lucas CLP and Oil. They seem to do pretty well. Plus they have a pleasant scent.

A almost mint Lyman 45, still has the box. It hasn’t been made since the 50/60’s. I’m ripping it completely apart, deep clean, cold bluing the bare metal, and repainting Chevy orange. Slowly starting to buy to stuff for a “casting” area in the reload room. This is the cast lead bullet sizer, luber and gas check seater—all in one. Just need to get the applicable dies.

Great shape and older than I am. Sometimes the old American stuff blows away the new expensive ones.

Finally got a laptop I'm happy with from Target. It has everything I need except the RAM but I have another 4GB DDR4 coming tomorrow.

Things are finally starting to come together. I probably should just start my own thread for this stuff. I’m almost finished sanding the floors. I never want to see that drum sander again. These pictures are recent, but there’s still a lot of trim, paint and other finish work that needs to be done.

Almost forgot! The garage used to have 2 doors, like a typical 2 bay garage. Well, the doors weren’t tall enough for me to fit my truck in. I don’t actually want to park in there, I just like the option of being able to pull the truck in to work on it like I did at my old house. There wasn’t enough room between the top of the door and the roof to raise the door and still have space for a roll up style door to fit. So, we decided to go with a custom sliding door instead, which allowed the door to be raised enough for the F250 to fit in. The guy that made the door is going to fab up a bracket so it can be locked.

Stopped by the local native store just to see what they had. Well.... They had the ring I almost got at the powwow in Cali, but it was $126 there, here it was $75 so it had to come home with me lol. And the 4GB ram already installed. First time taking a laptop apart but it was pretty cool. The picture doesn't do the ring justice. 20190426_190404.jpg 20190426_190629.jpg
