Those are cool! I’ve seen similar but not that brand. I was going to go aluminum but when I saw how well the Frontrunners fit the bed of my truck I couldn’t pass it up.

Main thing I want them for is to store wet outdoor gear after the trip. Nothing worse than 4 days on the road with wet wetsuits, packs, and clothes laying in the back sucking up sun and putting off that nice aromatic smell.

Agreed. Those small drain holes will come in handy there. A buddy of mine has been known to tie wet boots off the back of his roof rack on the drive home. It works, and gets a lot of looks on the road.

hows the durability/wall thickness on these compare to front runner?
I definitely like the price on the ACR8 -- and it's pretty close in size to the wolf pack.

I'm not sure. I've never had or seen the front runner boxes to compare with. The MTM boxes are designed to store ammunition so they are fairly durable. I have the 4-Can Ammo Crates. Mine are full of 9mm 115gr fmj and 5.56 XM193. Each AC30T box can hold 1K rounds of 9mm (27lbs) or 500 rounds of XM193 (~13.5lbs). I have two of each in a crate so that's over 80lbs. :D

Well, I'm not too impressed with the boxes. They could have done a better job with the bungee cord hole placements. Of course for the price they're not bad. Just don't think the engineering was well thought out on them. Seem to be waterproof enough though. Will keep them up top for a while longer to see how they do in the long haul.

I would be made out of stainless steel, weigh 500 pounds, have a triple locking system, bolted down to the rack, cost 4 grand a box and we'd never sell or produce them.

I agree on the placement. Most of the time I run one long strap across the top and another around the front, but for individual anchoring they can be a pain. How are your latches holding up? Mine are all fine, but a buddy bought some with slightly different latch and snapped one within a week.

So it’s an EXPAT branded product.

    Makes sense.

Haven't used them enough to say yay or nay on the latches. As with you, I have one long strap over the top which sort of defeats the purpose to me since you have to take the strap off to get into them. I'm thinking about wiring mine down to the rack with some stiff wire and a hook on one end that will actually go into the hole they molded. Yes, makes them a pain to remove but will do away with stability issues using bungees.

Can anyone that owns these tell me if they will stack nested when empty?

No, they have straight sides so they don't stack like a Rubbermaid or something like that.

    Thanks!

I’m picking up a couple of these in Vancouver in a couple of weeks, unfortunately they are only available on the other side of the country 6600km away from home so was hoping they would stack to save a little on shipping !

Been in the same boat on a few things as well.

Sorry, you'll just have to buy some other things and have them packed inside. That should help.

They're great for keeping gear secure and organized.
