haha good points! I used to carry a smaller rhodia notepad, but the bulk started bugging me. Now I carry those rite-in-rain 2x4 notepads. Really small, but doesn't bother me. Along with a Pilot G2 and mini lead pencil.

Really curious to see how these Magpul Daka pouches are. They sound just like Hypalon. Which I really like most of the time, unless it's against bare skin.

I think I will also, only ordered on to try out. Since these will be on the outside of my pack, rather than inside- the extra water resistance is very welcome. I was looking at their other pouches as well, and like that they come in multiple colors.

I like these as well, got one for inside the pack. My current setup will be putting them on the outside, so something more cylinder shaped works better.

Dang, going at it raw! lol

Does it clean up easily after?

i think these gossamer gear cuben fiber pouches are over two years old now and serve as my hiking first aid kit and toiletry kit...i expected to have at least a hole or rub mark by now from other gear in my pack but nothing so far...i'm now seriously considering switching my hammock tarp (warbonnet superfly) to this fabric - maybe the hammock gear palace tarp.

I have one of those GG pouches I use for my toiletry kit as well - it's been awesome. And way more durable than it would seem.

Nothing to special here, just added some pulls and a Cocobolo bead to my water bottle compartment.

    Anyone try Millican packs?

I like the looks of the Oli 25L zip pack.

How do you like it? RB gave me a small pouch, but I lost it. Must have been taken by a light breeze blowing by.

    IMG_1717.JPG

glove pouch (tethered and also removable if you want)

    IMG_1718.JPG
front utility pocket and inner front hand warmer pocket
    IMG_1719.JPG

can be mounted 5 ways: D rings, molle web dominator x 3, bungee cord , belt or pack strap, or can worn around the neck with paracord at chest or waist level
    IMG_1721.JPG IMG_1722.JPG

\\as well it can be velcroed into a chest rig, plate carrier. This flap tucks away in its own spot if you do not use it. IMG_1723.JPG
belt straps. can use up to a 3" belt.

the hand/glove openings are insulated, as is the entire pouch, and you cinch the openings down if you only want to one hand in . Hidden zipper on the bottom allows the pouch to expand slightly (or you can stash Snickers Bars etc in there)

i'm starting to put miles on my gorucks and the more i do the more i'm liking them. black rucker is edc, brown rucker is for use with the 20/30 lbs plates for training (i signed up for 3 events next year) and by summer i'll try it for day hiking, and the bullet is for minimalist edc or motorcycle (when i want to carry water in the summer or extra fuel).

wire dopp organizer i like the best so far compared to the kifaru or tad gear ones since it's simpler.

spartan armor level iii+ plate fits perfectly in the sleeve.
