Add some barn wood and you got a nice setup.

Haven't been been able to get much done with my dad being I'll. But I've been working on a new anvil stump the last two days.

First step was cutting and leveling the stump. I used the router method a friend suggested, and later found a tutorial online. 20180903_213847.jpg

Then glued on a sheet of plywood, and added some feet to get the desired height.

Laying out my center mark for bending and punching. These will end up being the mounts to bolt the stump down, so it doesn't bounce everywhere.

Here are the mounts, they aren't pretty, but I think they look much better than standard angle iron. 1/4"x1" shouldnt go anywhere.

And a mock up with a mini anvil for reference.

Good work. Have never thought of the router method for leveling. Will file that idea in the to do bank. I have one that needs to be trued up.

    Works really good.

Glad I learned about it, using a handsaw and profanity, was how I ended up with a stump 2'' shorter than what I was aiming for. Thus the feet and plywood.

Got two new stumps, only paid 20 bucks for the two and they are hardwood. Current stump is working good, so I'll set these aside to dry out more. Chinese elm.

I've had this engine lift for close to 8 years, only used it 5 times including today. Rarely used, but I'm super thankful for the times I do need it.

Also decided to share something I've been wanting for the past 5 years. Meet Adira, she's 260lbs and a chubby one.

Thank you sir. They don't look like much, but provide an interesting challenge for isolating steel.

Modified an estwing tack hammer today, for small rivets, advice from Jacob Faram. Also tried a brass rivet eye I've seen Faram do. With his permission of course. First attempt sucked, but i like the accent.

More bottle openers heavily inspired by Jacob faram and Brian brazeal.

I said it before but worth repeating!
These are awesome!!! I personally am not a fan of mass produced anything including even bottle openers so to see a bottle opener like these is really cool!

Thanks, I made it by accident attempting something else. But will make it a regular pattern.
Thanks! I'm trying to refine things and get faster. Will start selling soon to fund itself and save money up to help my dad.

These are what I have so far, 3 are not in the picture because I gave them away. 20180924_183643.jpg
