Oooh I like the looks of those.

TKC site says it won’t die the factory sheath... wonder if they’ll be making a kydex one for it to fit. That would really get my interest.

The email earlier today said that they would be coming out with new sheaths shortly

TKC scales are in. They feel great in the hand, adding a little more heft and more of a hand-filling grip.

The bad news is that they don't fit in the stock leather sheath nor my Armatus sheath, which is made for the stock handles. Luckily it fits nicely in this sheath I had laying around:

it's a cool knife, just needs some liners to beef up the scales. They're way too thin for that size knife.

I really haven't had an issue with it, but I also don't have large hands, so that probably makes a difference.

I just posted this in the Modified thread, and thought I should put it here too. I had GKC Outfitters put olive wood scales on my PR4. They have a lot more palm swell than the stock scales and I just LOVE the look! 7DD8063C-D7BA-4B44-84D5-90EAA757FEDD.jpeg

Still liking it after a few months? I’m tempted to order especially with Armatus having a new sheath for it

I have mixed feelings about them, to be honest. They fill the hand nicely, but are also fairly heavy and change the balance. It has made me appreciate a little more about the original scale design - namely that it feels more light and nimble in the hand. I think they really change the character of the knife, which can either be a good thing or a bad thing, depending on what you're looking for.

Thanks for the response! I might try them. I’m looking for something to mix things up. I keep going back to my PR4 from my JG5 and although I like the PR4 I keep thinking fondly of how my GNS from LT Wright fit in my hand. I was thinking the scales might change that with the PR4 and I would spend less. I dunno what I want I guess lol
