I don’t have an Esee in leather. I may like this knife even more now.

I enjoy the leather sheaths myself. Especially the camplore line.

I am kinda in this boat. Never held an ESEE 6. Anyone have a photo of one with the new JG5? Interested to see a side by side comparison

This just keeps getting better and better,
I was thinking I was going to have to try and trade the kydex sheath for a standard 6hm sheath:rolleyes:
    Triple BLACK for the win;)

For those members disappointed in it not coming with kydex I'm sure @Allen Morrison would be happy to oblige y'all with custom kydex :p

Oh, man, what a Total bummer for left handers, leather sheaths suck for us, might as well throw it away and buy a proper sheath.

The ambidextrous sheath systems was one of the things that first drew me to the Esee brand of knives.

By going leather sheath it effectively makes this deal more expensive for left handers by the cost of a custom kydex sheath.

Unfortunately if that’s the way it’s going I’d say I’m out, just on principle.

Look at it this way... the money you save on Shane not going kydex can be put towards a left handed sheath of your choice. If thats not your thing then that more blades for the rest of us.

We have to stand on our principles as well.....we simply were not going to put g10 scales into ill fitting kydex sheath, nor were we going to jack the price up to cover the cost of the labor to hand fit each one.

I'm cool with leather and a lower price. I usually just pack my 6 in my bag and carry a smaller belt knife or folder, so the sheath is a non issue for me. We obviously don't know the price, but the savings could very well pay for an aftermarket sheath.

I'd be alright with even lower cost and no sheath. It's not like we use these knives. All we ever do is take pics of them

    I'm cool with leather!!!

@Allen Morrison will have to get a 6HM and start making some badass kydex options for it!
