Indeed. It's a big part of the reason why I'm so sold on their designs.

    In that pic I've got:

A simple top-loading day pack (the Umlindi with nothing else on it)
A longer-haul/bigger load pack with lumbar support (as pictured)
    A butt pack (M2016/Recon belt)
A sling bag (M2016 with shoulder strap)
A battle belt that I can config with all sorts of different options

...and I just thought of something that had never occurred to me before - you can rig the PALSpocket a simple day pack as well.

I'm planning a 3 day, 2 night trip with that exact setup soon....

You all are really increasing my desire to try a Tarahumara. Love my kit bag, and use it in all my hiking since having added it to my gear list. As I generally carry an Osprey Poco with a 37lb weight (my 27 month old daughter), the kit bag works great at giving me a little added weight on front, and keeping a firearm and other tools/gear handy.

I have bought and sold a lot of packs. I often regret selling my Tara. The front zipper is sooooo handy. Guess I’ll have to get another one at some point.

Recently swapped out my Original Kit Bag V1 for the V2 version. The PALS/hook-and-loop inside the middle compartment is a nice addition for organization. And, since bear spray is a fairly mandatory item on any hike I do around here, the loops on the bottom of the bag are an ideal place to rig it for quick access:

Ha! Can you still get those? I remember when I lived in Whitehorse, we had a kitchen drawer full of them.

I've no shiny HPG swag to share pictures of, but I'd be really interested in seeing anything in relation to the Aston House, or Aston House BC.

So you know, if anyone has either of those and feels like showing off...

I use the AHBC on a Prairie belt. It’s a great pack. I swapped a couple of the straps around so I can access the front pocket easier. I had the Aston compression panel on it originally, but swapped that for the AH pocket. Much better. I had an Umlindi, but I much prefer the zippered opening to the lindi’s top loading.

The top straps made it a giant pain in the ass to get into the front pocket of the main pack, so I took the G-hook straps off of the bottom and moved them to the top. Now I can just unhook the g-hook to get in.
I didn’t like them on the bottom anyways. The g-hook would slip out during a hike and the strap would end up dangling down and banging into my leg. I used a couple of extra straps and some repair buckles to reconfigure the bottom like this-

It was a huge improvement for me.
