Mine weighed a little under 200 lbs dressed. So I'm guessing around 225lbs. I don't know how much @Schmittie or @JMJ deer weighed.

Yeah the width tricked my buddy and I to put him on the shooter list. He aged 3.5yrs old, I would've given him another year had I known. I finished him with my 3 cause he was hit high shoulder/spine. A rib bone scratch through the coating when I pierced his chest and left the mark when I etched and stripped it.

First off, Great buck Bravo! That's awesome :)

So what do you do if there is no cell service?? or does pretty much all of Alabama have coverage?

Thanks Riley! I'm not sure about no cell service. Everywhere I hunt has cell service, so I'm not sure what you would do. I guess keep driving until you get service and then call?

Nice, just was curious :) I can see pro's and cons to that system for sure - would not work here in MT tho.
    Congrats again!

I'm still thankful we don't have a lottery for tags here. I know each state is different, but here in Bama, the deer laws are lax, due to our over abundance of them!

Yea you southern boys have quite a few of those whitetails ;-) It's pretty lax here for whitetails - we have raffles, over the counter B tags (as well as general tags), and damage hunts for different species. MT has around 38,000 too many elk, so they are doing damage hunts and "shoulder" seasons from early August till the end of Feb. Wife shot a cow out of an alfalfa pivot couple weeks back - that's some good eatin :)

As for the mule deer, the running joke is you have to raffle the big buck hunts or else the species would be extinct... unless it's a big ole boy, they are no where near as cagey as those whitetails are.

My dream is to harvest a mule deer with my bow. Gun would be fine too, but there's nothing like a bow kill! I may hit you up for some prime hunting land!

    Thanks bax!

Yea man, let me know and I'll send ya what I know...
May as well get the out of state combo for deer/elk since you can hunt em both at the same time in some places and they will be in similar habitat :)
