SP-01 is sweet, I've had one on my wishlist for a few years now. They are difficult to get in CA, I've never seen one in stock at any gun stores ever. Wait list is about 3-5 months at Turners last I checked.

I've handled the Standard 75B and loved it, definitely want a few CZ down the road. Congrats!

I have the CZ75B SA and really like it. If they made the 01 in that configuration I would get one.

I think they do. Single action only with a manual safety instead of decocker right... this one?

    Nice seek!!
So the two things I did to mine that I found really beneficial, 1. Input in a Cajun customs hammer. It smoothed the double action pull a ton and probably dropped 2# off the DA pull weight. I did not adjust any springs because I wanted to maintain reliability with my 22lr laser upper. And it has worked flawlessly.

The second change was I put in their 85c modified trigger. It has less of a curve to it. The original just really hurt my finger after a while. This one also come with an over teal adjustment which is nice

Cz’s are know for short chambers. Some ammo can be an issue I’ve always had issues with the wad cutter shaped bullets

The trigger will definitely smooth up with use. There are certainly some spring changes you can make to lighten it too

Did you install the Cajun hammer and 85c trigger yourself?

CZ's have become my favorite pistols, and I have many from some of the other best manufacturers. My current favorite is a 1991 made pre-B 75 that I found new in box. However, I enjoy my 75B, 75D PCR, 97B, and Kadet Kit .22lr conversion as well. Sorry, no pics yet. I've owned a CZ since around 1996.

I highly recommend CGW, and David, the owner is a great guy.

Yes I did the work my self. There were a few tense moments because it’s really a military pistol and there are some parts that clearly were built to stay put.

Definitely get extra roll pins and I would highly suggest Dave’s starter punch. It’s more like a pencil that comes to a point so you can really hit it without bending it.

Also get the slave pin for the DA/SA mechanism. It allows you to take the whole piece out as one unit. Otherwise your watch making skills will come into play.

The mods I did to mine. Front and rear sight. Swapped to a fiber front and target rear. Getting the rear tritium sight out was tough with a punch but doable if you have a sight pusher it would be a big advantage. You will need a front sight pin because the one coming out is probably going to get mangled.

I did the 85c trigger. Big upgrade for me. Again the pin was tight and getting a replacement is a good idea.

I went with a race hammer the squared off one. Again but change in feel

I also swapped out the bushing to the 10x custom bushing. It is as tight as it can possibly be without having a hand fit bushing. I put it in a deep freeze for a couple days and if I recall it’s been a while an 11mm socket fits in the slide. I used a socket on an extension and drove it out with a hammer. I pounded on it to get it out. It worker. No damage just scared the hell out of me with each hit. The bushing is notched to line up with the roll pin for the front sight so if you do this mos you will want to do the front sight at the same time

Freakin' sick man! If I get around to getting a CZ, this would be the model I'd spring for. I hate to hear that you're not crazy about the trigger. But I've read probably a lot of the same stuff you have. Thanks for sharing this @Zeek and @ny700 for the info on the mods you did. Sporty pistols gents.

CZ pistol triggers get much better with use. If you dry fire it, use a snap cap, but dry firing, and shooting it helps A LOT. If you're not mechanically inclined you can send the pistol to CGW where they will install any of their parts you want.

My shooting buddy has an SP-01 (manual safety model) and installed a lighter main spring (hammer spring). I'll have to ask him the weight. Just that made the trigger pull much better. It is sweet.
