This is my number one partner in crime. If we weren't respectable, upstanding family men, we'd have likely made an excellent pair of hobos. We hit the trail a week ago and he had this idea to make stools. He used some green American holly and lashed it with bank line for the "X" braces. Some dry and easily split cedar for the stool top. The stools had a little side-to-side play so he ended up adding a cross brace to each stool with bank line and some of the smaller holly limbs. They held up nicely. I think we'll try to make something more of a lounge chair design on our next trip.
