ive always toyed with the idea of buying a 6x6, outfitting it as a massive diesel overlander, and simply driving around, working when I need to....but always having a place to sleep.

Left work early yesterday afternoon when I got the notification it had arrived. Picked it up, gave it a quick cleaning and went straight to the range. What a great way to begin to the weekend....;)

Ruger GP100 .357 Wiley Clapp edition.

Sights were dead on out of the box. And a rack of 158 gr. 38+P run through it felt like I was shooting .22s. Followed that up with some 158 gr. .357 till a couldn't shoot no more and then I needed a beer. :D

Hope is to at least get the family and dogs out for some car camping and progress from there. When my wife was younger she was all about backpacking. Now with two young kids two dogs I think she finds it a little overwhelming at times.
Oh well back on track in the right direction...out!

i'm definitely a convert...the g17 is the only pistol where i can stop shooting for 3 weeks then come back and after the first mag my groups are right back to where they were as if i was shooting several times a week...we just click :D

Dad has a H&R handy rifle in .22 hornet that I shot a lot growing up. I wanted to get a hornet for a long time and finely just bit the bullet.
