    What's that? Like $13 now?

Sorry, that's a sick joke if you've actually invested in them!

Seriously, the cost is time. Being on here to catch spammers (my favorite) etc.

Lmao for real that tanked pretty bad from what I gathered. Always felt like too much of a scam imho for me to invest in, sorta like the dotcom bubble crash in the late 90's. Got a few coworker's that jumped in head first and they've kinda become their own little support group lately lol.

    On a serious note.

Some have said that this forum is very quiet compared to what it was. It's true that the post count is lower than perhaps it used to be, but I think the atmosphere here is better then it was then. Less arguments caused by people that just don't know how to communicate without falling out. We have lost a few members but the knowledge and skills on show here are just as good as they have ever been. People here are attracted by the no nonsense attitude of Esee, and main contributors seem to be people that have the same values as Esee. This adds up to a community that is based on real world use and experience. When someone on here says a knife or a peace of kit is good I tend to believe them, because they will have gone out and used the damn thing. Any other reviews online I tend to be skeptical of.

Is this forum perfect? Nope, no forum will be. Particularly when you have the weirdos that we've got on here as members. But I'd say its pretty damn close.

Some improvements? Sure, I'm up for that. But let's not change it too much.

The clever ones know when to jump off the wagon. If your dumb your gonna lose you house. Not worth it in my book.

Yeah, by now we are pretty much family and it is hard to dump family. You just try to rein them in and then tolerate them.

Interesting read here. I will admit to being a bit worried as thread hijacking for the sake of some chuckles is about the only thing I have to offer. I enjoy nothing more than getting a "LOL" out of someone. I'd have been a stand up comic if only I were funny.

Oh well, I tend to stay in the general section anyway so that's probably good. Can I assume derailing threads in Expat's section is still acceptable? :)

Expat is already banned as a preemptive measure.

For me and probably others the big hit was the loss of Tapatalk. As crappy as that app is it allowed me very quick access to multiple forums I was on in my mobile device.

Now I have to bounce between forums as several other forms dumped compatability as it was too time intensive to keep updated.

    The changes sound good.
For it to work why is general discussion moved to the bottom of the main menu?
Perception is everything and esee discussion should be the first thing that is seen and in all probability clicked on, may set a more serious tone amongst forum users

Tapatalk at one time was a great app. Now it's nothing but a headache. We are working on trying to get a mobile theme for the forum. Xenforo has some stuff in beta right now but want to wait until it's proved out before we put the option up.

We could just delete the general forum altogether and save us all a LOT of headaches and useless BS.

So your plan is to make this an informative, family friendly forum full of knowledge and a reduction in banter?

I agree that is where any and all of the problems that we've had has occurred. And there are several threads I dont even bother readingn however, there are several of us that use that forum for a greater purpose....like giveaways, pay it forwards, asking for advice or encouragement, and forging bonds of friendship and family...It would seem harsh to punish those that follow the rules and use it for good....
