Im pretty sure I could give you a car muffler and you could so carve a house out. Well done. Nice clear crisp photos. Looks cold there.

I like the size of this hatchet. Looks very packable.

Very packable indeed. Looks like it would make accurate cuts nicely with no eye. I’m interested.

    You should.

I am not much of a carver, especially of spoons. I spent too much time in Asia to understand that chopsticks are it for me. I cook and eat at home with them, as well as the wilderness. Think about it. Make things simple.
If it can't be picked up with chopsticks, then grab the bowl, kettle and drink from it. This applies to stews, soups, and just about everything besides scrambled eggs, which still can be had with chopsticks. If it is hard to grab...stab it! However, spatulas have a place in most all types of cooking and eating as well!

Yes sir! Except it is a far cry from a hatchet. This, short handled, balanced tool is more of a "tool-specific" item. It splits kindling, of small diameter, but it is made for crafts. Controlled strikes and accuracy. More about this will follow.

A fine tool for the woodcrafter or summer treks where chopping and splitting aren't needed much.

Makes sense, not as thick as a hatchet head.

James’ aesthetics always have a bit of combative designs to them. Glad the horse head remained on the final version.

Two things James believes in...Ninjas and the bible. With him, you will get both!
Not so easy. They need to be straight and the same size. I rarely see straight sticks in the woods.
$1 store, you get a lot.

I might get yelled at...but i want this axe so i can drill two 1/4" holes in it, for bolting on a custom hammerhead attachment , small curved Adze or a custom spike point attachment. (yes i know it will void the warranty....i'm ok with that. )

Awesome post @bearthedog ! I agree about the balance on this axe...I didn't "get it" at first until I stated using it for it's intended purpose...

I use a GB Wildlife axe a good bit but this thing outperforms it in every aspect for carving, accuracy, and balance. No surprise as it was designed by James Gibson. After having this thing in hand I know I need one!
